Legacy of developing talent
General Mills prides itself on offering real-world, hands-on internship experiences – nothing is hypothetical, and all projects are tied to the business – and has done so for more than 30 years.
The internship program is the company’s largest pipeline for filling full-time early career positions with more than two thirds of the company’s early career talent being made up of past interns.
General Mills differentially supports students before, during and after they finish the summer internship program. On average, the company makes full-time job offers to 90 percent of interns, 86 percent of which accept and return to General Mills post-graduation.
“Today marks the first day of our summer intern program and I couldn’t be more thrilled to welcome our new, incredibly talented class to General Mills,” said Elizabeth Diley, campus talent acquisition leader, General Mills. “By providing in-person internships this year, we’re able to enhance the students’ experiences, deepen their understanding of our business, and truly showcase our incredible company culture.”
